My name is Chris Roorda and I’ve been a mobile DJ for almost twenty years.  In that time, I’ve performed at over 350 wedding receptions in the greater Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area.  I also have provided DJ entertainment at Bat-/Bar-Mitzvahs, birthday parties, retirement parties, and other special occasions.  My equipment includes the latest and most dependable brands of mixers, microphones, and speakers.  In addition, I use Serato software along with an Apple MacBook to further enhance the party. 

 

I pay special attention to very personalized care of my clients.  That means discussing the details of the ceremony (if necessary), the cocktail hour and the reception well in advance of the big day.  On your big day, I not only play the right tunes, I serve as master of ceremonies, ensuring the event runs smoothly.  I have worked with many of local caterers and coordinators to make parties extraordinary.

 

Growing up in the D.C. area, I have accumulated a wide variety of music.  My collection exceeds 20,000 songs from Big Band and Latin, to Country, R&B/Hip-Hop to Top 40. However, the clients needs and wants always come first.  My past clients would say that I am very responsive to their specific requests and that my parties are fun-filled.  I suit my style to my clients’ needs and tastes.  As the DJ, I ultimately help to set the tone for the event.  If you want someone to be interactive and engage a crowd I am capable of leading a variety of line dances if necessary. It is my goal to make enjoyable, memorable events that your friends and family will love.
