Overall great job. Loved the cocktail music that kept playing
outside throughout the reception. It really made it seem like an
oasis. Also, thank you for the CDs so that we can remember the

Enjoyment of the music was important to my enjoyment of the

I didn't know you would be taking a video, so that was a
nice bonus! We are glad to have it since we didn't have a
videographer. Dave Holmes' customer service and
responsiveness is definitely top notch. He even responds to his
emails right away while he is on vacation! He is very
professional and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. We
got tons of compliments on our reception - everyone had a blast!

Phil did an awesome job with our
wedding reception. He was very helpful over the
phone and email in the planning phase leading up to
the wedding. On the wedding day, he got the party
going quickly and had a lot of people on the dance
floor. Guests submitted song requests prior to the
wedding and made requests at the reception.
Everything flowed very smoothly and we had a great
experience with DZ Entertainment. It was great to
know that they had the music taken care of as we
were making the final wedding preparations. We will
recommend Event Entertainment to others in the
future as well as use them again ourselves. By the
way, there were several brides-to-be as guests at
the reception. They talked to Phil about their
upcoming weddings as well. I think that alone speaks
volumes for this group!
I really can't say enough good things about Phil! We had a very
laid back event and he really went with the flow, kept the dance
floor packed, and was great about everything. Despite a little
problem on my end with getting files to him, the music was
perfect, he did great, and I felt like he had everything under
control. THANK YOU! Also, big thumbs up to Event in general and
Dave Holmes for tolerating my incessant questions and emails!

I just filled out the form but wanted to add again how pleased I
was with the entire process, your assistance, and Phil's. He
called me the night before the wedding to let me know there were
issues with the files I sent (names wouldn't come up correctly)
but we took care of it the day of and he was fantastic. Right
on time, made sure to check in with me when my cousins were
making silly requests, made everyone happy & in a dancing mood,
and just generally made the event. I've gotten many, many
compliments on my "awesome DJ" and have made referrals already.

Dave has a great knack for reading the crowd and playing music
keeping everyone's interest. The music selected appealed to a
broad audience from teenage guest to our 81 year old grandma!
Overall we were very happy with The Hitman! We have gotten so
may compliments on our reception and many of our guest told us
afterwards how great the Dj was. |
I have been meaning to write you and John since Monica's and
Carlos's wedding. My husband and I and our guests enjoyed
John's performance as DJ very, very much. John could probably
tell by watching all the happy people on the dance floor! It
was a great mix of Latin music, classic rock, and some
traditional ethnic songs like Hava Negilah and La Bamba. The
music really pulled the families and guests together. Also, we
liked John's style in announcing the bridal party and the
special dances. He was warm yet discrete and never pushed his
own personality over those of the bride, groom, and families.
Thanks, also, John, for being prompt and setting up with ease.
And thanks to both of you for your professionalism and attention
all through the process of signing the contract and choosing
songs. We never had a nervous moment in dealing with Event

Event Entertainment provided our DJ, Johnny Torres. Johnny was amazing! We really wanted a bilingual DJ because my family is Puerto Rican. He did a fantastic job MCing in Spanish and English, and he played a perfect mix of Latin and American music. Not only did he play our top requested songs, but he truly "read" the dance floor and played music that kept our guests on the dance floor ALL night long. He was exceptionally flexible and accommodated all of our requests. He made it a point to make himself available to me whenever I called and I felt more than confident that he would do a great job on our wedding day. I had Dave Holmes as the DJ for my wedding and he was great. I talked with him a few days before the wedding to go over pronunciations of names and make sure he knew everything I wanted. I gave him the timeline for the events and he made sure everything was on schedule. We all had a great time dancing and the music was good. He even gave us a CD of all the songs he played at the end of the night and made a short video of the highlights of the evening. At the end of the night he told us that he was really sick but no one had any clue. He is a very good DJ and one I would recommend. We already have him booked for my sister's wedding in October.
